FEBRUARY LIVING ART ON THE EDGE

Ah, the month of love!  I did a bit of research and from most sources I found that February 14th was just another day to commemorate a saint.  According to the Huffington Post, it was rooted in pagan partying.  Anyway, our culture has taken it to new heights with literally thousands of Valentine cards and candies and gifts given to those you love.

Several years ago a friend's son underwent a quite successful heart transplant and I decided to do a tribute piece to Grant's new heart..most appropriate I would think with all those Valentine hearts floating about.

Grant is a prolific artist now living in the Atlanta, Georgia area and you may enjoy his work at:

The following pieces have nothing to do with the season of love but I hope you enjoy them.

"At Loose Ends" *** As you may have noticed, I have been doing a "Feather Series" over the past few blogs.  I will now present the latest followed by the other two that I completed last year.  Depending on inspiration, I may create more for this series.
