APRIL LIVING ART ON THE EDGE

“Child’s Play”

Have you ever had artist’s block? Sure you have! It sends a chill up and down the spine. Have you lost your creativity forever you may ask. Believe me it is temporary, but keep on creating.

March was a month where I had difficulty creating so I decided to just play…child’s play. I pulled out my containers of various images and had the time of my life snipping and cutting and creating. I chose images that were silly, ridiculous and absurd. I had the time of my life.

Not every art piece is a masterpiece but that does not matter. If you give a child a substrate, a variety of images, and some glue they have no hesitation in creating. Go beyond your fear and try it yourself. Yes, pretend to be a child again.

I have a few of those type of pieces to share with you and I encourage you to try the same. It will loosen you up and your creative juices will begin to pour out of you.
